Renewable power on the move

Backpack power generatorNeed renewable power on the move? Going to be close to river or stream?  Then maybe Bourne Energy’s new RiverStar BackPack Power Plant is for you.  The backpack is a small man-portable renewable hydro energy generator that is only 3 feet long and weighs less than 30 pounds.  Eack pack is self contained with it’s own integrated power, control, cooling and sensor systems.  The generator folds into a backpack sized unit (see image)  with the generator, hub and folded blades stored inside.
The unit will produce approximately 500 w/unit high quallity continuous power, obviously depending on the strength of the river current.  It can be set up singularly or in arrays of over 30kw.

The backpack is ideal to carry into rugged or remote areas and setup in streams or rivers and can be bottom mounted so they are not visible in the stream or river.  This type of power source will open up all new areas to a renewable energy source, for instance it could provide enough energy to power a remote village and shore mounted portable water making systems for countries suffering from poor water quality.
